Navigating the sprawling Spaceport map in ARC Raiders requires a clear operational strategy, especially when tackling multi-stage missions like A Lay of the Land. Received from Shani in Speranza after completing early story prerequisites, this quest demands that players collect key intel and a critical piece of technology in a single deployment. Surviving the trek across hostile terrain while avoiding rival raiders and ARC patrols makes executing a proper route essential for success.
Starting the Quest and Infiltrating Jiangsu Warehouse
To initiate the quest, speak with Shani at the Speranza hub following the completion of your previous assignments. Once deployed to the Spaceport map, your initial objective is to reach the Jiangsu Warehouse situated in the northwestern corner. This area generally sees lighter player traffic, providing a relatively safe opportunity to secure your first target.
Head to the second floor of the warehouse and locate the Foreman's Office overlooking the main storage floor. Inside on the office desk, interact with the shipping notes to log the information into your quest log. Ensure your objective counter updates before departing the facility to avoid having to backtrack later.
Navigating to Control Tower A6 for the LiDAR Scanner
After securing the shipping notes, you must traverse toward the central zone near the launch facilities to find Control Tower A6. This central complex is significantly more dangerous due to heavy ARC drone presence and frequent enemy player encounters. Approach the tower from the eastern entrance and head through the main ground-floor doorways.
Climb the interior staircase to reach the upper floor office spaces. Follow the outer hallway past the standing wall dividers and office cubicles. Behind these partitions, locate a small metal container near the zipline and interact with it to acquire the required LiDAR scanner.
Securing the Scanner and Extracting Safely
Obtaining the LiDAR scanner is only half the battle, as losing the item before returning to hub forces a full reset. Players are strongly advised to immediately place the scanner into their augment's Safe Pocket. Securing the item in this slot ensures you retain the critical objective gear even if you fall in combat before extraction.
With the item secured, make your way carefully toward the nearest active extraction elevator or point. Keep a low profile to avoid drawing unwanted attention from roaming machine patrols near the central plaza. Once you successfully extract back to Speranza, turn in the LiDAR scanner to Shani to finish the quest and claim your rewards.
